Take Your Time: Olafur Eliasson at MCA

Olafur Eliasson is a Danish-Icelandic artist who has created some really engaging artworks for his exhibition Take Your Time.

From the MCA site: Raised partly in Iceland, Eliasson’s practice is informed by that country’s landscape and spectacular weather. He draws upon elements such as light, water, ice, fog, arctic moss and lava rock to create works that shift viewer perception and sense of place.

From light-filled environments to walk-in kaleidoscopes, Eliasson’s unique, experiential works explore the intersection between nature and science, and the boundary between the organic and the artificial.

For information about the exhibition follow the link here.

Sam Taylor-Wood

I love Sam Taylor-Wood - her photographs and films are so crisp and beautifully composed. Looking forward to Nowhere Man, but looking back at my favorite work by ST-W (Strings), I'm a bit annoyed that I can't find a copy of this film (or even a still from this film) anywhere! Not even in the ST-W books at Kinokunya, which is usually my answer for everything. Hmph!

meanwhile, find more about ST-W here.
